Brief
History |

In
the spring of 1952, Department of Education of Kaohsiung City government
established and named as AI-KUO Elementary School, San Ming District,
Kaohsiung city.
In
1952, Mr. Min-Der Wang seated to be first principal, establishing school
and started to enroll students.
In
July 1997, start to execute the whole renewal plan of school building.
In
December 1999, the first stage new school building erected and started
the activities.
In
August 2003, Mr. Shun-Hsaing Chen, the current principal, took over to
be the eleventh principal. |

Organization
and Composition |
|
The
school is made up to of 23 classes from grade 1 to 6, 5 classes of
kindergarten and 7classes of special-needs, totally 35 classes, 823
students, 68 teachers and administrative staffs.
Special-needs
classes include 3 classes of general ability-gifted resources, 2 classes
of hearing-teaching, non-classified resources class, talking-teaching
class and pre-school special-needs class.
There
are 2 classes of Annexed supplementary school, 1 class of Adult
Basic-education, afford the service for uneducated people.
Administrative
teamwork, including principal, 4 head-chief, 14 chief, personnel staffs
and accounting staffs, offer administration-supporting services. |

and Objectives |

Centered
in the right of student’s education, involved with the contributions
of the parents of the community, cooperate to develop the school.
Respect
the right of teachers’ specializations in teaching guidance, create a
warm, democratic and open culture of the school organization.
Renewal
of buildings, enrich the equipments, afford an open,
environment-protective, safe and modern, informative, internationalized
education environment.
Cultivated
modern 21st century citizens with humanity concern, integrating ability,
democratic concept, country and international sense, pursuing whole-life

Prospects |
|
Churchill,
the former Premier of England, said “we erect the buildings first,
then the buildings model us.” That is to say, the buildings and
environment of school become the framework of education fashion and
culture, the development beliefs and manpower exertion fulfill the
education essentiality. Look forward to the future of the 21st century,
leading the school into a happy-learning garden of community for
teachers and students to challenge and explore the unlimited potentials
and to exert the life-giving strength of organization.
The
21st century is the era of open education and education reformation.
Also its the initial stage of nine-year consecutive curriculum of
national education. The former Minister of Education, Chin-Jiang Lin,
put forward the curriculum reformation as “Cultivate students
possessing the basic ability of solving problem, reject the
over-weighted school bags, and throw away complicated and im-practical
knowledge teaching materials.” Expect the near future day, all the
students in the school posses the necessary basic ability, decrease the
burden of school-learning and delightedly say ”Let’s leave alone the
school bag and go to catch sight of the cloud. |
